The history of PVC related products can be traced back to the 1880s, and the solid product created in the lab was simply regarded as an oddity.

Just because there was no apparent application at that time. It was neglected commercially due to the inflexibility of the product.

All thanks to the innovative technology of PVC granulator that actually brought to fore the numerous application of PVC. Thus making it easier to produce and create an extremely durable substance.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is created from a composition of vinyl and plastic.

The first commercial PVC pipes were used in the transportation of water, sewage, and wastewater, and for the movement of chemicals.

However, to start a standard PVC pipe extrusion line, you need a capable PVC granulator suppliers

Preparing Ingredients

The first step in manufacturing PVC pipes is to prepare the ingredients. PVC is obtained in a chemical process that bonds the vinyl and chlorine.

It is a polymerization process that involves a monomer of vinyl chloride. Although most manufacturers use suspended polymerization.

Suspended polymerization involves the use of a polymerization reactor to mix chemicals and a polymerization reactor.

Here, the resulting PVC resin is suspended in water, then removed for degassing and dehydration. This is achieved by the use of a centrifuge.

Besides, the product is then dried and turned into granulated dust for transportation to the manufacturing plant. Follow by heating to the melting point.

Although early manufacturing melted the dry powder as a sheet on a roll mill. Then it is molded into a solid product that will be ready to be rolled.

Additives

High-quality PVC from modern PVC ingredients include numerous types of stabilizer and lubricants to facilitate high quality PVC granulator processing.

Although, formulas for PVC are patented by individual companies. Colorants are added during the manufacturing process. This indicates the appropriate use of the piping.

Different colors of the PVC pipe denote the area of application. For instance, Dark grey pipe is used for industrial pressure applications.

Also, white and blue pipes are used for cold water, and green is used for server applications.

Extrusion

There was no extrusion process to form a PVC pipe that was perfected until the 1950s and 1960s. Although modifications to such processes are still underway.

Presently, there are two predominant types of PVC pipe – cellular core and solid wall.

Three separate layers are extruded to create the cellular core pipe. The hard outer layer walls inserting a cellular core center.

All three layers are instantly combined into one pipe during the manufacturing process. Although solid wall PVC pipes are created in a single step.

PVC granulator produced PVC pipe to meet industry-standard 10 to 20-foot length.

How is it Made?

PVC pipes are made as follows:

· Making a molten mixture of the material and shaping them around a cast. Note the cast is made to suit the exact width of the pipe.

· The prepared molten mixture is poured into a cast and surrounded by an outer shell.

· The complete set is then placed into an oven to be cooked, once is solidified. Then cool and moved into finishing.

· Parts of the pipe are cut based on the required sizes and needs. The cut sections are then coated in a chlorine solution to prevent harm from growing during shipping and use.

· All fitted pipes are engraved with a series of grooves into the pipe. Beside high-pressure water is sprayed on the pipe to remove excess fragments.

Quality Control

Due to the widespread application of PVC pipes, it is pertinent to conduct a quality control test to ensure the durability and flexibility of the pipes.

Series of the test are performed ranging from filling of special cement to the passing of different liquid.

The final test of the pipes is to ensure their strength. This is achieved by pushing weight on the pipes.

In case of any failure at any point in the process, it is sent back to PVC granulator for melting down and re-constructed.

Conclusion

The latest innovation brought by the PVC Pipe extrusion technology has made the PVC pipe production one of the most profitable businesses in the world today.

While hoping to sign up for an outstanding PVC pipe extrusion line with the optimal operation, you need to understand the guidelines.

Beyond all these, also ensure that you carefully source for a professional PVC granulator manufacturer for your best deal.
